About these terms
These terms cover your use of Forces Ready (forcesready.co.uk), an independent practice resource for people applying to the UK armed forces. By using the site, creating an account or making a purchase you agree to them.
The service
Forces Ready provides original practice questions, mock tests and guides for the abilities assessed in the Defence Aptitude Assessment (DAA), sat by RAF and Royal Navy applicants, and the Army Cognitive Test (ACT), sat by British Army applicants. Our questions are not the official questions, and our question formats, section lengths and timings are our own — they differ from the real assessments. The Royal Navy and the Army publish free official practice, and we recommend you use it alongside ours.
Forces Ready is not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for the RAF, the Royal Navy, the British Army or the Ministry of Defence. Using our practice does not guarantee a pass, a particular score or a place in any role. Selection rules change, so always follow the official guidance from your careers adviser. Accounts
You sign in with your email address. Keep access to that inbox secure, and do not share your account. Please contact us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
Payment and access
The DAA practice and the ACT practice are each sold as a one-time purchase at the price shown at checkout. There is no subscription and no recurring charge. A purchase unlocks the question banks and mock tests for that test only, and access does not expire while the service runs. Prices include any applicable VAT. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card details.
14-day money-back guarantee
If you are not happy with your purchase, contact us within 14 days of payment and we will refund you in full. Refund requests after 14 days are considered case by case.
The practice tests are digital content made available as soon as you pay. By buying, you ask us to give you access straight away and you acknowledge that your statutory right to cancel ends once access begins. This does not affect our 14-day money-back guarantee above, or your statutory rights if the content is faulty or not as described.
Acceptable use
- Do not share, sell or transfer your account or access.
- Do not copy, scrape, republish or resell our questions, explanations or guides.
- Do not try to disrupt, overload or get round the security of the site.
We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
Intellectual property
The questions, explanations, diagrams, guides and site design belong to Forces Ready unless stated otherwise. Service names and test names are used only to describe what our practice is for.
Affiliate links
Some outbound links, such as book recommendations, are affiliate links. We may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
Liability
The site is provided as is. We try hard to keep our guides accurate, but official processes change and we cannot guarantee every detail is current. We are not liable for selection decisions, missed opportunities or other indirect losses arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update the site and these terms. If we ever close the service we will give reasonable notice and consider refunds for recent purchases.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
